A Week at Al-Hidaayah

School Hours

At Al-Hidaayah Academy, our school day begins promptly at 7:30 AM and ends at 4:00 PM, from Monday to Friday. This full-day schedule allows us to provide a rich and balanced learning experience that includes academic lessons, Qur’anic studies, extracurricular activities, clubs, and character-building programmes — all within the school day. Punctuality and time management are core values we uphold, helping students develop discipline and responsibility in their daily routines.

Tuesdays & Thursdays – Club Days

On Tuesdays and Thursdays [between 2:45 PM – 3:45 PM], students take a break from the usual academic structure to dive into club activities. These sessions give students a chance to explore interests and talents that may not always be covered in class. These clubs promote confidence, collaboration, and creativity — all while having fun.

Salah and Post-Dhuhr Sermons

At Al-Hidaayah Academy, both Dhuhr and Asr prayers are performed in congregation within the school.

After Dhuhr, a short halaqah is held and led by a different Ustadh each day, covering a wide range of relevant topics — from Islamic etiquette and spiritual reminders to contemporary issues facing young Muslims today. These sessions often include time for questions and answers, encouraging open dialogue and deeper understanding. It’s a cherished part of the school day that nurtures faith and builds character.

Fridays – Jumu’ah Prayers

Fridays hold spiritual significance at Al-Hidaayah Academy. All boys attend Jumu’ah prayers as a group at a Jumu’ah mosque, while the girls follow a rotation system where a different class attends Jumu’ah each week. This ensures that all students benefit from the blessed Friday while maintaining a smooth schedule throughout the term.

Wednesdays – Assembly Day

Wednesdays mark a meaningful part of the week at Al-Hidaayah Academy, when the entire school gathers for our weekly assembly at 2:45 PM. More than just a time for announcements, these sessions focus on nurturing personal growth, spiritual development, and character refinement. Through thought-provoking talks and reminders, students are encouraged to strive for ihsan — excellence in faith, conduct, and purpose — as they work toward becoming the best versions of themselves: as Muslims, as citizens, and as individuals. The assemblies aim to inspire reflection, foster accountability, and strengthen our shared values as a school community.
