Student Responsibilities & Chores

Chores

At Al-Hidaayah Academy, we encourage students to take active roles in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Daily chores and campus duties help build a strong sense of community, responsibility, and teamwork among students.

Each house is assigned an area to work with, and it is the responsibility of the House Captains to assign students roles to complete the assigned tasks for that area.

To make this more fun, we turned it into a competition. At the end of every term, the house with the most points (points are earned according to standard of work) is rewarded.

Prefects

At the end of every first term, prefects are selected from the Year 11 class through a voting process involving both staff and students. Prefects are chosen based on leadership qualities, responsibility, and the ability to positively influence their peers.

Key leadership roles include the Head Boy and Head Girl, as well as Sports Prefects, Time & Salah Prefects, Chores & Lunch Prefects, and House Captains. These student leaders play an important role in maintaining discipline, organising events, assisting staff, and setting a positive example for the rest of the school. Serving as a prefect is both an honour and a responsibility — one that helps develop leadership skills and school spirit.
